Good Places to Give Right Now
(Specifically If You Live in Berkeley or Oakland)

Dear Friends,

In a response to a client question during our Monday webinar, we wanted to do a little research and help you find good organizations that directly support those most in need at this time.

Thankfully, we have a client working with the Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless team. She recommended some organizations that folks could confidently donate to. These are organization that are suffering from the reduced availability of volunteers. All are serving more people than before with less staff and less funds.

Thank you for whatever you can do!

These last two also need supplies such as paper plates, plastic utensils, brown lunch bags to serve food to unhoused people.

Two other recommendations: The first is a licensed nonprofit, the second more informal but very on-the-ground. These include hygiene supply distribution, not just food.

In addition, DeYoe Wealth Management (and Kate and I personally) have supported three homeless services organizations in Berkeley that are in the same boat.
