DeYoe Wealth Team
LPL Registered Principal
In 1994, Jonathan DeYoe moved to Berkeley, CA to attend an M.A. program at the Graduate Theological Union’s Institute of Buddhist Studies (IBS). In 1995, while still attending IBS, Jonathan began his career in financial services and found his true vocation. Although he enjoys the puzzled look on people’s faces when they first hear of this unlikely professional transition, it’s clear to all who work with DeYoe Wealth Management that Jonathan’s unique background correlates perfectly with his unwavering ethics and mission to provide “holistic wealth management.”
Jonathan's professional experience includes investment management responsibilities at Morgan Stanley, UBS PaineWebber and Salomon Smith Barney. After completing Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst program in 2001, he founded DeYoe Wealth Management, guided by the principle that no amount of money or prestige was ever worth sacrificing one’s integrity. Jonathan's primary aim is to provide independent, unbiased advice that gives his clients the opportunity to be financially successful and pursue their passions — all while remaining firmly rooted in their values. Nancy Wright Cooper joined DeYoe Wealth Management as our Team Leader and Operations Manager in 2007. She works closely with both new and existing clients, helping them set-up new accounts and implement investment plans. Nancy oversees every aspect of our business and operations, working side-by-side with Jonathan Deyoe, John Madden, Naomi Evans, David Glotzer and the back office at LPL Financial to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service we can offer.
Nancy came to DeYoe Wealth Management with over a decade of experience in the securities industry and investment management. Before joining Thornburg, Nancy helped establish North Point Advisors, a mergers and acquisitions firm in San Francisco. Nancy’s experience also includes a long tour of duty in the Capital Markets Group at Van Kasper, and she has worked with Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, as well. We feel lucky to have someone with her depth and breadth of industry knowledge as a member of DeYoe Wealth Management’s Team.
Nancy has a BA in English Literature from Humboldt State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. While plying her trade in the securities industry, she has also made time to pursue her passion for the arts. Nancy is a professionally produced playwright and critically-acclaimed performance artist whose work has been seen in New York, Edinburgh, Berkeley, and Santa Fe. She has shifted her focus from the stage to the page and is currently working on a cycle of memoirs.
When not in the office, Nancy can be found crafting prose, cooking tasty Italian meals, reading detective fiction, and hiking with her husband Andrew. The two of them share a fondness for Persian rugs, and they are avid art collectors whose current favorite is the work of Gerone Spruill, an artist they discovered at the Create Growth Arts Center in Oakland. Nancy has a grown daughter, Tess, who is also a talented artist.
